ABOUT
As an urban designer, I have always been attracted by the issue of the role of our profession in the deep meaning of socio-spatial changes. My research and design interests revolve around the issue of how urban design methodologies can enhance socio-cultural and environmental conditions in post-industrial clusters. Today I am delving into the issue of abandoned post-industrial harbors in the USA and shrinking neighborhoods adjacent to them. The main goal is to create urban placemaking principles aiming at the improvement of socio-spatial and environmental justice in post-industrial harbors, while simultaneously preserving the architectural historical heritage of multilayered cultural structures.
